In the heart of Hästholmen just outside Ödeshög, in a picturesque setting near Lake Vättern and the Omberg Nature Reserve, lies Vätterhästens Café and Restaurant. Our current operation is a smaller, family-run restaurant that has been serving the legendary schnitzel on the menu since 1963, which is still made in the traditional way. During the season from mid-May to the end of August, we have a higher demand and are therefore looking for temporary staff for the kitchen full-time and for serving part/full-time. Training in restaurant and service/tourism is an advantage. For serving work, good knowledge of Swedish and English is required. Knowledge of German/French is a plus.

Job Responsibilities

Serving food and drinks to our guests during lunch & á la carte

Working in our café/bar with service and cash handling

Preparation for lunch such as setting and clearing tables in the restaurant area, lighter work in the cold kitchen

Wiping tables and ensuring cleanliness

Cleaning public areas and ensuring restrooms are clean and fresh

Work in the dishwashing area may occur

Qualifications

You are at least 18 years old and have a driver's license/car and/or can get to the workplace at the times required.

Are cooperative and enjoy working with others

Are flexible and can handle stress

Have a cheerful demeanor

Can oversee what needs to be done and prioritize tasks

Are organized and willing to perform the work

Are service-oriented

Have good physical fitness
